2022 had passed. It's time for a short reflection. What are your highlights of the year?
I am Esther, and today I will share my top 5 highlights of 2022!
1. Study UX
I have wanted to study UX for quite a few years, but I have been giving myself the excuse that I need more time and resources to learn. Earlier this year, I decided, you know what! I will give it a go and study online. I took the Google UX course on Coursera and completed the course within 5 months. Covid restrictions were still in place, so I was able to complete the courses in a short time. Initially, I wanted to make a career switch to UX. However, after chatting with a few mentors and thinking it through carefully, I decided not to switch. Nonetheless, I am glad to have studied the course because it's an added skill. Moreover, I learned to use Figma.
I may talk about my thought decision on why I decided to remain in digital marketing.
2. Lego Exhibition
The second highlight is the Brickman Wonders of the World | LEGO Brick Exhibition Singapore. I am a Lego fan, and I collect some Lego sets. I was really excited about this exhibition when the news was released! So, of course, I went to the exhibit. I am in awe of the various Lego sets. I am highly impressed by the Titanic set. It's mind-blowing.
However, my favourite set is the Trojan Horse.
Here's a shout-out to Lego; if you are watching this, could you please create a smaller version of the Trojan Horse to sell?
3. Travel
The third highlight - I finally got to travel again! It's not surprising that being able to travel again is the main highlight of my year! It felt so surreal when I started to walk down the aisle of the airplane. I travelled to 2 countries - Switzerland and Vietnam. I love both trips. It was a good mental break, and I was recharged after each trip.
And finally, my new passport has some stamps inked on the pages.
4. Jay Chou Concert
The fourth highlight would be the Jay Chou Concert. This was my first time going to his concert. Despite all the negative news, I enjoyed the show.
5. Meeting new people
Lastly, I decided to step out of my comfort zone this year. I went for mentoring and networking. I got to know new people. I am glad I did these, as I have a better idea of what I want to do for my career. At the same time, I am pleased to meet my current date.
Life has a funny way of working out.
So, these are my 5 highlights in 2022! I hope this video inspires you to reflect and think about your year. If you like this video, don’t forget to like, share and subscribe!
I wish you well.
x, Esther
