Inksprout: An AI Social Media Summarizer - Review
In this post, you will learn to use a text summariser, Inksprout, that can help you to create captions.
Content
Inksprout is a text summariser. It helps to summarise your content and compose captions. All you have to do is to input an URL link, and it would create a caption for you.
After you have logged in, you will see the dashboard.
Let's test the Start Writing function. Click on the field and it will redirect you to the Compose page.
Paste in an URL Link and Inksprout will create a few captions based on the article. I am going to try it out using my one of my blog posts.
Well... as you can see, there are some minor errors in the sentence. However, the app did manage to provide a relevant caption.
Under the Summary block, the app will suggest a few sentences/captions. You can select more than one of the suggestions to compose the caption.
You can search for a list of quotes in the Quotes block. However, I do not know how the AI works. If I am not wrong, this section allows you to search for quotes without having to leave the app.
You have to write a caption first before you can use the Rewrite block. The app would provide some suggestions to rewrite the caption. I find this function quite accurate for my blog post. I like this function the most as you can easily create a series of captions to use on different social media platforms.
Once you are done with the caption, you can post the content to either Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn via Inksprout.
You can connect your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn account under My Inksprout.
Now, let's get back to the Compose segment. There is a Content segment that suggests a list of articles for you to read. You can add and toggle between the relevant tags that you are interested in. I think this function is great if you regularly post about the latest news. This function does help to save time since the app pulls in entries from different sources.
Here's my honest review:
First Impression: ★★★★☆
The application is pretty interesting. I had used a few text summariser before. However, this is the first time I am using one that could help to create a caption.
Aesthetic Design: ★★★☆☆
The design of the application’s homepage is clean and straight to the point. However, I wish that the overall design could be better. The look and feel of the user platform do not blend well with the homepage.
Ease of Use: ★★★★☆
The app is easy to use. You may need to try the different tools to create a caption. It does help you to save time in the long run. My favourite function is the Rewrite function on the Start Writing page. I would recommend that you do a quick scan of the post to ensure the accuracy of your caption.
User Experience: ★★★★☆
Overall, I felt that this a great application for users who faced with writer's block or need to post articles regularly. You can use this app to modify the captions. However, you need to eyeball it, check the spellings, etc. In other words, you would still need to invest some time. This is a good application that adds value to content creators who are paraphrasing and sharing articles regularly.
Pros of Inksprout
The app is available as a Google Chrome extension.
It provides a list of captions that you can use.
It proposes several main points of the content so that you can build your caption too.
Cons of Inksprout
It's not 100% accurate. You must do some checks.
I am using the free plan. Under the free plan, you can write 5 captions per day or a maximum of 15 captions per month. If you post content frequently, I recommend that you get the Pro Plan. You can create 30 captions per day. Most importantly, I think you can automate the process with Zapier too. I think you can save time if you design the workflow well.

Inksprout is suitable for you if you are currently looking for a text summariser. Not only could it summarise the content, but it could also suggest captions.
I would strongly recommend content creators and even marketers who post content/articles regularly to give Inksprout a try. This application can help you to save some time. You do not need to squeeze your brain juice to come out with different captions for A/B testing.
All in all, I think Inksprout is a good tool that adds value when you need to create captions for your social media posts.
I hope this article help.
