The Silver Lining During the Covid-Chaos

In all honestly, I am sick and tired of the Covid-2019 news. It's happening across various countries. I do understand that it's a significant health concern. Still, it's really dampening to hear the same news, more people being affected every day and travel advisory or restrictions to various countries every single day. Worst still, it's the new conversation starter.

Also, it is during such times, I see both the good and bad side of humankind. News channels are picking up news from one another at a relatively slow rate, thus causing confusion and unnecessary anxiety among the public. Racism content on social media. Good acts are done by random strangers for healthcare workers.

Some people daily life are affected too. Some started to wear masks every single day. However, not much in my case. I mainly can't travel overseas as much as I would love to. It's also because of this issue, I decided to quit reading the news. News is now no longer being cross-referenced, or it's no longer as updated as before. I now focus on the various governments' advisory pages.

And, it is also all these incidents that make me realised 1 very important fact. I realised that I am in a very privilege position to be talking about the above points. I am lucky to be able to travel. I have access to all this information. I have some understanding of global issues. At least, I am enlightened to find the silver lining while everything is in chaos. It's not that I am trying to be positive. Still, I am actually thankful for the matter of the fact that I have such "enlightenment" or "mindset". It's with this "mindset", I do have the freedom to make my own choices.

I honestly don't feel much impact, except when I can't find toilet rolls and a sudden increase in workload. And life goes on. I have been saying that for the longest time since the virus started. One thing for sure is neither the world nor time will stop for anyone.

Well, that's all I have to say for today.

Stay healthy everyone!
